'Local Hero' Our Claim to Fame
The bar scenes in Bill Forsyth’s classic film 'Local Hero' (1983) were filmed here in The Ship Inn. Bill Forsyth returned to visit us in November 2008 for the films 25th Anniversary. He was also accompanied with film critic Mark Kermode from the BBC culture show.
